why you should clean your office

Your office is the face of your company, and the difference between having your potential clients become your clients or not can simply be based on the cleanliness of it. Because you see a clean or a filthy office says a lot more things than just your hygiene. A dirty looking office tells people that this company couldn't care less of its presentation, and of its quality standards. And if this company does not care for its quality standards, then it has no standards, to begin with. All this goes on subconsciously in the clients' minds, and it deters them away from doing any business with you. All that can be flipped around if you were to make the simple and easy adjustment of keeping your office clean. Down below are some of the pointers you can do effortlessly to work on your company's facade that'll surely be seeing a difference.

Interior and exterior walls

Your walls are probably the single biggest factor that adds to your company's impression. They are the most prominent feature of your building and you want to make sure they stay neat and tidy. Over time those walls you walk by every day become a little grotty and stained with dirt you probably never notice until a new client walks in and stares at it enough to grab your attention.

So what you want to do is to first figure out what type of wall that is so you know what products to use. In case you aren't sure what products you should be using for a specific wall, you probably would be best calling a professional cleaning company to ask about. Most exterior walls are brick-type, so you probably could get away with just jet-washing all the dirt off the outside walls. That alone could make a huge difference in your company's overall image. As for interior walls, assess and see if your walls need a repaint or just a clean-through.

General cleaning maintenance

You want to make sure that when fall comes, you are prepared to clear all the walkaways outside from all the leaves and whatever there may be to deal with. Make sure to clear all the walkways outside, and the gutters are kept in good condition and free from cracks and breaks. You will realise that it is during fall that the gutters take the biggest hit, due to all the leaves and changing weather. So just, every now and then, especially during fall, give your gutters a quick check to make sure everything is alright. Also, put an effort into keeping your office litter-free. Getting more bins can sometimes look worse than you think. Just arrange someone to do the emptying for the bins or you'll start seeing litters on the floor that could harm the image of your company.

Clean your windows

What's the harm in scheduling someone to clean up the windows every week or so? They don't only improve the overall look of your company, but also could have an effect on your company's performance. That's right, a dirty window can change the internal lighting of your office and create a dull environment. Give them a quick clean and feel sharp every day you walk in.

Take good care of your Floor/carpets

Next to your walls, your floor is probably going to be giving the biggest impression to your clients. Walking on clean floors is something you do not mention, but feel immensely. Walking on clean grounds brightens and sharpens your employees/colleagues to perform better with a clean set of mind. Nobody wants to wake up and walk into a building with a dirty floor and stay there for hours. This will only deter them away from working there. The same goes for your clients. You wouldn't want to do business with a company that has filth all over the floor. If you've got carpets, make sure you maintain it by giving it a vacuum every week or so. If there are lots of stains on the carpet and you cannot get it off, just hire a professional cleaner to do it for you. There are plenty of professional cleaners in Bath that specialise in office cleaning and such.
